@coachcasey13u Let them be kids and enjoy the moment. One practice or team lift isn’t going to send them straight to the league or college. What message are you sending to other players around the sports community?
The MN Nice 16U finished up a very successful summer today in Chicago. Each player showed elite improvement on their basketball and life skills over the spring/summer. Southern MN has some great untouched talent, cannot wait to watch all the hard work payoff come November.
Parents:
You don’t need to tweet how many points your child scored after each game. College coaches aren’t scouring the internet trying to find parent accounts to see how many points players scored each and every night... in fact it might do the opposite + turn them off of your athlete.
I have a question to the parents and fans that yell at players, coaches, and referee’s during high school events. How come you aren’t applying to be a referee or coach? You seem to have the answers and know it all.
It's pretty simple. You either want to get better or you don't. Your actions reflect your commitments. You can’t fake that. Do you put your time & effort toward learning, improvement & gain? Or do you use it to make excuses & put things off? Either way, it’ll show when it counts!
High School Parents:
Stop emailing college coaches!
They don’t want to hear from you.
If you son/daughter wants to get recruited so bad; they are plenty capable of sending an email. 📧
BREAKING NEWS:
Your child’s coach isn’t perfect.
Your child’s umpire/ref isn’t perfect.
Your child’s teacher isn’t perfect.
EVERYONE is a work in progress.
Show compassion, show patience, show class.

Crazy to think that @boye_mafe is headed to the NFL. He is most definitely deserving of this opportunity. Boye is a @MnNiceHoops alumni and is one heck of an athlete along with an even better person. Good luck in Seattle dawg 😈.
