Soweto Scientist converts Abandoned School to Successful Garden Project

Phetole Raseropo is a microbiologist and botanist from Soweto who revitalised the closed-down Taupedi HP school in Soweto, a site in his area that had been abandoned for 20 years. The project is called P Agricultural Group.
He transformed the 25,000m² property into a productive agricultural hub growing spinach, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, and seedlings. The business now employs 16 people, including six permanent and ten temporary staff.
