Many Canadians carry a deep stigma against building.
To be fair, we’ve built some genuinely hideous infrastructure and failed more than a few urban experiments.
But as an engineer, I believe the winning vision for Canada is Regenerative Futurism.
Stop building sterile, fenced-off stormwater ponds. Design living water systems instead, new rivers with waterfalls and trails, ponds you can fish in summer and skate on in winter.
Public space farming.
Next-generation greenhouses.
Timber bridges and retaining walls.
Rock, berms and natural grading.
Everything that makes Canada great can be designed into our cities.
We’re just too afraid of change and “risk” to make it happen. So we hide behind “environmental” no build policy.
The greater risk is refusing to evolve, and slowly losing the identity we’re trying to protect.
I’ll be sharing more examples of Regenerative Futurism and what this future can look like across Canada.
Follow if you want to promote a better vision for our future.
More engineers should understand this.
If you have the correct answer but can’t clearly communicate it to a 6-year-old, you’re not as smart as you think.
@5xSuitor They already have all the sats for full commercial deployment in production. So that revenue start wouldn’t be impacted by this. Just waiting on launch to open up.
They said after 47 they are going to start adding AI edge compute abilities which is certainly worth pursuing.
@AST_SpaceMobile This is just to clarify yesterday’s edited post screw up.
So they are still going to launch beta this year but not likely in Japan yet.
Thank you for the update.
@GhostOfLaszloJ@AST_SpaceMobile@Rakuten_Mobile@RakutenSymphony That’s vertical integration for you the early production ramp is brutal. Long term they will be way better off.
It will be easy for them to iterate the sats to get more out of them and add AI edge compute functionaries.
@GhostOfLaszloJ@AST_SpaceMobile@Rakuten_Mobile@RakutenSymphony To be fair we don’t know if they are production constrained. We just know they are launch constrained until BO is online again.
It would be cool if they could update us so we don’t have to guess and assume the worst.
They have built gateway stations around the planet and are currently in production on enough sats to service billions of people. They are also months away from commercial revenue.
I love the vertically integration focus long term but it makes early production ramp very difficult. That’s all just timing and short term noise though.
The market is going to grow so fast that even if they catch 2% of the global TAM they will be a $100B company in 2030.
@CamDashhh@AST_SpaceMobile@Rakuten_Mobile@RakutenSymphony@AbelAvellan Cracked engineers are typically bad communicators.
It’s certainly dragging down their stock price now but it doesn’t impact the future revenue they are going to generate.
Not selling over flare but it’s annoying.
The IKEA 3D interactive manual now has 23 more pieces

Forgive me if a step’s a bit off.
@IKEA didn’t pay me for this
which piece should I add next?
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10.
Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years.
Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.
