Today marks a turning point for renewable energy, as I signed the MOU between FMIST and Entrust Microgrid, UK, on lithium battery technology development. This partnership unlocks the value chain for the development, repurposing and production of Lithium-ion batteries in Nigeria.

Today, my team, the Perm. Sec, Mrs Esuabana Nko Asanye and I welcomed the Ambassador of Spain, Juan Ignacio Sell and his delegation. Their visit marked a significant step in activating the latent bilateral relationship in Science and Technology between our nations.

Nigeria boasts a rich landscape of science, technology and innovation with numerous universities, polytechnics and research institutes. Yet, it's disheartening that many research results gather dust. For this reason, my focus is on accelerating research output commercialization.
