Very cool watching @darren_raff03 ride at the front deep into this #GirodItalia! He used to race Cx on my wheels in Ireland and I’ve always been a fanboi. I mean have you seen those custom shoes?! I’m here for it!
Hey just FYI, if you buy a @stagescycling power meter crank on a @ShimanoROAD Dura Ace crank and the (quite common) drive side crank splits/cracks, you're hosed. You'll get a lot of finger pointing and nothing else. Bye bye $$$. Pretty disappointing.
@mtb_steve@AdamMyerson @mtn_rcr @StefanWyman @rathcore1@jens_dekker @themollycameron @ChallengeTires They are the opposite of tight and I've blown them off like that before, but the casing and TREAD was the same as the tubie which no other clincher tire does so they act feel like the tubies which was awesome. I don't know why everyone changes the treads.
@AdamMyerson @mtn_rcr @StefanWyman @rathcore1@jens_dekker @themollycameron @ChallengeTires Using Enve as an example, the G23 would be good, it's got a wide bead that's less likely to cut your sidewall on ground impacts at low pressure, vs the AR line that has a tall skinny bead for road tire retention, and will be impossible to mount a tire on.
@AdamMyerson @mtn_rcr @StefanWyman @rathcore1@jens_dekker @themollycameron @ChallengeTires I was trying to respond to the rim question and used up all my characters ;). You'll specifically want to get a hookless rim, and one with the shallowest/lowest rim lip. The inner bead is the seat, that's ok being tight. It's mounting. So you want an MTB style rim not a road.
