Film producer. Producers Guild of America member. Co-host of @nbtbpodcast. @dodgers fan. I love the moment when the lights go down & the show is about to begin…
@nathangbrown_@ArashMarkazi@TickPick The Dodgers played in the afternoon because Fox wanted the biggest draw for the main network game on FOX and the late game was FS1. The Cubs would have played on FOX had they advanced but Milwaukee/SD is nowhere near the draw of the Cubs or Dodgers.
@Scouter34@SnavelyCody6 The network execs at Fox want the biggest game to be on their main network, which is the 1 PM game on Saturday. The later game is on FS1, which has a much smaller footprint. Had the Cubs advanced, they would have played at 1, seen as the bigger national draw.
@SnavelyCody6 The 1 PM game is the big national game Saturday. It’s on FOX, not FS1. The Cubs would have gotten that slot had they advanced and the Dodgers would have played at 6. It’s all based on ratings.
@SueSpear@bearskinneck999@MattGross87 Well, you might want to start by counting how many teams are in each league. There are 15 teams in both the AL and NL, the odd number creating one inter-league series at all times throughout the MLB season.
@nickbilton Many years from now when @ScottPelley is remembered as a titan of American journalism, at best you’ll just have been totally forgotten. Your worst case scenario will be that you actually are remembered for what you’ve done, which is set out to destroy 60 Minutes.
Last night at @thekiaforum, @springsteen & The E Street Band perform an incredible, soulful version of Long Walk Home. More to come and don’t forget our episode covering the two LA shows should be out by Monday morning.
Our new episode covers @springsteen’s appearance w/ @tmorello at the Defend Minnesota concert on Friday. We are joined by @jonbream, reporter & critic for the @StarTribune. Jon first saw Bruce in ‘75 at the Bottom Line & he attended Friday’s show. Listen on all major platforms.
