At times male anger at ‘women getting special treatment’ reminds me of a gorilla experiment. One gorilla gets a banana every hour. The females next to him get one every four hours. Then someone decides to be fairer and gives the females a banana every two hours instead. The original gorilla? He flips out. He's still getting his banana every hour, but it feels like a loss because his advantage shrank. That's how a lot of men react to basic fairness for women: not as justice, but as theft.

When a school or hospital is bombed, the first response is denial: “It wasn’t us. It was a misfired rocket.”

When a video emerges and evidence proves otherwise, the story shifts: “It was a base;” “militants were hiding among civilians.”

When the lies* collapse, it becomes:
“an unfortunate error”
“a technical failure”
“a professional mistake”

And they claim they would investigate.
The results?
1- No guarantee of investigation, especially that it’s the killers who claim to be carrying it out.
2- No consequences.
3- More crimes.

And the complicit media first casts doubt on the story before amplifying the perpetrators’ lies and recycled justifications.

ICE is killing disabled people.

On February 19, ICE picked up 56-year-old Nurul Amin Shah Alam.

They decided he was "not amenable to removal."

But instead of contacting his family or taking him to a safe facility, they dropped him off at a Tim Hortons without telling anyone.

A blind, non-English speaking man was abandoned, left to die in a New York winter.

Five days later, he was found frozen to death on the pavement near the KeyBank Center.

This wasn’t a “courtesy ride” for the disabled man.

It was a death sentence.
