I just requested my biggest single payout from FTMO since I started my trading journey.
A little over 2 years ago I received my first payout from FTMO, which was 3998$ and I couldn't believe it back then.
It took me a long time to be able to take big trades without my psychology going crazy and ruining everything.
The start of the year has been great. I had broken my single payout record 2 times already this year, and we're still in Feb!
If I could give some advice to myself back then, it is this:
Slow down because the faster you try to go, the slower you're gonna progress.
No one is running after you. It's you vs you.
Don't compare your trading results to anyone else.
Take everyone's trading advice with a grain of salt and only trust what you tested and experienced.
Know that even your best of the best setups can fail, so never go all in on any single trade.
It's okay to take a break when you're mentally fatigued, the market never runs out of opportunities.
@lemontradestand Yeah, that makes sense. Having a job while trading can be good; it gives you a sense of stability and stops you from taking trades you shouldn't take just because you need the money
@CoachDBA I see it this way: If you are bragging about how much funding you have with prop firms by mentioning account sizes, then you are trying to attract newbies who know nothing about this space
