$ETH might be the most misunderstood asset in the market right now. Here’s the whole thesis.

Everybody still prices Ethereum like a tech stock. Earnings, growth, the competitor of the week. That’s the wrong lens. ETH isn’t a company. It’s settlement infrastructure. It’s the road the next decade of finance gets built on, and it rents out blockspace to anybody who wants to put a real asset on chain.

Once you see it that way, the bull case gets simple.

Demand side: tokenization is here, and it stopped being a buzzword a while ago. Treasuries, funds, credit, real estate, all of it is getting put on rails, and a big share of that settles on Ethereum. When a bank tokenizes a money market fund, it isn’t buying a meme. It’s plugging into infrastructure. Every one of those deals is a customer that doesn’t run for the door when price dips, because they aren’t trading ETH. They’re using it.

Supply side: this is the part people are sleeping on. Right now there’s roughly 2.9M ETH waiting in line just to get staked, a 50 day wait to get in, and an exit queue sitting at zero. Nobody’s leaving. Holders are locking the asset up to help secure the network and earn yield, and pulling it off the liquid market while they do it. A jammed entry door and an empty exit door is a supply squeeze forming in slow motion.

Put the two together. Demand that shows up as usage instead of speculation, and supply that keeps getting locked away. That’s not a setup that needs a brand new narrative to work. It just needs time.

Am I ignoring the risks? No. Competition for blockspace is real, regulation can get clumsy, and ETH stays volatile enough to chop you up if your size is wrong. I size for that. But the direction of travel is hard to argue with.

Wall Street spent years swearing it would never touch this stuff. Now it’s quietly building on it. I’d rather own the rails before that’s obvious to everyone than chase them after.
