@davidlynchlfc I'd argue we could do with losing in the CL for the greater good long term. I never normally advocate for Liverpool losing games in cups but not making the CL will set us back years imo. We're not winning the CL also so better to go out now and play once a week
@Chris78Williams Is Slots training methodology not less intense to prevent injuries? He's had a good injury record from every other club and did last season also.
@jimmybagels306 Agree fully. A lot of our fanbase are judging this season as a normal season/comparing it to last season and for a variety of reasons, it isn't. It's a transition season, we'll finish 4th or 5th and be inconsistent. We played well today and there's signs it's getting better imo
Liverpools best league performance of the season. Shite and sloppy for 2 minutes and conceded a stupid goal. You lot need to calm down. It wasn't boring, we created lots of chances
@ViktorFagerLFC He's not quick enough to play in Slots system for me. Same with Mo this season. We get them in 1v1 situations all the time but they don't have the pace to beat a man
@Sourin401@TheRedmenTV Yeah don't get me wrong id have loved a dominant performance of last season but we're not that team now! Yes we have been unlucky with some of the first goals were conceding from low xG chances
@RinoCucchiara@TheRedmenTV If your standards are of league champions then yes it was below
If you're viewing it as a team in transition, completely devoid of confidence then it was improved with small things to build on
I think we'll finish 3rd or 4th this season so my expectations are based on that
@LFCRed4life@TheRedmenTV We can do better still for sure but the players are broken. Zero confidence so not making the right pass or finish. It needs baby steps to rebuild their confidence and last night did a bit of that by coming back from a goal down and being more solid
@LFCRed4life@TheRedmenTV This was the first half. They broke our press too easily early on but apart from that, we controlled the game and kept them at arms length. We're not the team we were last season, if you view it as a performance from a team in transition then it was okay. Something to build on
@BrianDurand56 Agree I don't know what game they're watching at times. Carragher always overly negative when he Comms on our games, I think to avoid being accused of biased
I don't think Liverpool played that badly there. One of the hardest away games in the league and they didn't create much and Haaland had a quiet game. We went there to contain and for the most part we did. A few moments decided the game. We'll be fine
@AnfieldSector@_pauljoyce That's fine, it isnt a catastrophe. We have 6 players who can play in the Double pivot with Trent on top when needed. Buy a winger and a CB rather than a sub par 6
@ptgorst@IanDoyleSport Not sure he's the one to single out. He's doing what he's been asked to do (albeit wasteful at times). The midfield hasn't linked well with the forwards recently and we've played low blocks which isolates him. Szobo and Grav form having more of a detrimental impact for me
@joel_archie Robinson always seems to play well against Salah. I'd go as far as saying, he's up there with the best versus Mo. He was exceptional today again
