During a Sabbath service at SDA Church Mafubira in Jinja City yesterday, I urged the people of Busoga to join me in serving Ugandans with equity.
I implored the congregation to stick to and trust God in whatever they plan to do, because he will always pave the way for them, no matter who their enemies are.
I expressed gratitude to H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni @KagutaMuseveni for the trust he has placed in me throughout my career, beginning with my appointment as Deputy RDC, Senior Presidential Advisor (SPA) on political affairs, and now as Minister In Charge of the Presidency for the two consecutive terms in office. I am grateful to God that in my services, my legacy has remained free of any scandal.
I also urged them to make an effort in combating corruption as Uganda strives to achieve upper-middle-income status.
As H.E. President Museveni stated that: "this Kisanja no sleeping and no more corruption," during his swearing-in at Kololo, it is our responsibility as Ugandans to fight corruption because it affects us all.
Corruption has a variety of direct and indirect effects on the Ugandan economy. The majority of the impact manifests itself in lost efficiency, reduced investment, and weakened public services.
When public funds are diverted, projects cost more while delivering less. Roads, hospitals, schools are under-built and other social services are delayed. The Inspectorate of Government estimates that corruption costs Uganda approximately UGX 10 trillion per year, or 9.4% of GDP.

I express my appreciation to H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni @KagutaMuseveni on my re-appointment as Minister for the Presidency.
I am deeply humbled and honoured by the trust and confidence you have placed in me through my re-appointment as Minister for the Presidency in the cabinet for the term 2026โ2031.
Your leadership and vision for Uganda continue to inspire service anchored in patriotism, Pan-Africanism, socio-economic transformation and democracy.

I pledge to execute my responsibilities with loyalty, accountability, and focus on delivering tangible results under the guidance of your administration. It is my commitment to uphold the values of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), strengthen coordination within the Presidency, and support the realisation of Ugandaโs Vision 2040.
