As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. taught us, darkness cannot drive out darkness, and hate cannot drive out hate. Only light and love can do that. So today, let’s remember our responsibilities to march hand in hand, to stand peacefully with dignity and purpose in the ongoing fight for justice. To organize. To mobilize. To vote. To believe, no matter how far away the mountaintop might feel, it is in our capacity to change our communities and our country for the better.
How did #LondonMarathon go for me?
Only made it to the half way mark before I wrecked my feet but it was worth it the raise close to £1500 for the @RareDementia Centre that will help families like mine with a rare (often hereditary) that affects most in mid life!
It’s been a while since I was last on here but I'm fundraising for @TheNationalBrainAppeal by doing @LondonMarathon in April to raise money for the new Rare Dementia Centre!
@itvMLshow Can you investigate how on earth the DWP can have PIP assessors that don’t have to be qualified in your disease and then lie in their reports. This causes much distress and adds time and stress having to go tribunal to have my truthful experience heard and considered.

Dear @TravelodgeUK, despite the best efforts of the kind staff attempting to make entry to our room at Covent Garden we are still awaiting the arrival of the manager who seems to be AWOL. The not so perfect end to a day of cognitive tests and generally being a human Guinea pig.
When trying to get an urgent NHS dental appointment is impossible AND you have Alzheimer’s so every attempt to try to get this sorted gets harder and harder. It’s been months and I’m at the point of asking Chris to pull my wisdom tooth out with pliers.
This was my baseline visit for the DIAN-TU drug trial. Another year and a bit to go - maybe more.
Haven’t a clue if I’ll be sad or relieved when it’s over.
It has been a very positive experience. At least a year more to go.

@oliverburkeman I went into @Tesco#Lowestoft yesterday and I went to the ‘proper checkouts’ (I normally scan my shopping as I go) and I spoke to the lady on the checkout. I was grinning all the way home just from having had a brief chat with a real person. I thanked her.
With Cheryl unable to work and the cost of living rising, Mark says they’re relying on credit cards to make ends meet. We’re calling on the UK Government to give dying people access to the State Pension they’ve worked for. Sign the petition: https://t.co/eeq0wKR9il (2/2)
First drug dose on the bus - no idea why I put it off for so long. My original plan was to alternate between London and the bus but now I’m thinking straight to bus dosing all of the time. It’s so chilled AND I can swim in the sea afterwards!
So happy with the driftwood and tin can gardening caddy that Chris made for my birthday and the salted caramel cheesecake that Despina made for me. A very stunning sunset dip in the sea last night too.
