✍️ Abdul Abdulmalik

Abdulmalik has been THE standout player in The National League this season, becoming a key player for Luke Garrard’s high-flying Boreham Wood side. It’s no secret that the 22yo is likely to the centre of attention for plenty of EFL clubs during the Transfer window, so here is a bit more information on the exciting winger…

Abdulmalik is an athletic winger who looks to dominate the opposition through utilising his extreme pace, power, low-centre of gravity + dynamic footwork.

The 22yo thrives in a wide left position, which allows him to come inside onto that superb right foot, where he can drive @ his opposition FB, dance in between defenders + link play or get shots on goal.

His physical build of having broard shoulders, whilst being quite short means he can compete physically in duels, whilst having the agility + balance to dance through tight spaces, using his strength to out-muscle defenders.

Abdulmalik often carries the ball over long distances, pushing his side forwards into the attacking third. He's capable of scoring some wonderful goals w/ his X-Factor in possession + quality in the half space on the LHS of the opposition's penalty area, where he looks to wrap the ball into the far corner of the goal.

He displays wonderful work-ethic + character to help his side out defensively too, often winning the ball back in deep areas, before fueling counterattacking opportunities w/ devastating effect.

An outrageously good player with all the attributes you'd want for a #10 / winger, and for whom it seems - after a few flashes last year - it has "clicked".
