It has been 83 days since 18 Cambodian soldiers were captured under the captivity of the Thai military. Cambodia urgently calls on the Thai side to release them as soon as possible, so that they may be safely reunited with their families in accordance with international humanitarian law.
It must also be underscored that the Royal Government of Cambodia has been and will continue to make tireless efforts, using all available mechanisms for Thai military to release and return our 18 soldiers as quickly and safely as possible.
The Royal Government and the Ministry of National Defence, and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces will never abandon any of our troops under any circumstances.

BANTEAY MEANCHEY -- Neang Chan, who is disabled and unable to walk, could only sit and gaze at her house with deep sorrow and pain after it was blocked off by the Thai military.
Her house, located in Prey Chan village, O’Bei Choan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, is one of three Khmer civilian homes in the village that have been blocked by barbed wire by Thai soldiers since August 14.

Thai soldiers have encroached at least 200 metres into Cambodian territory, erecting barbed wire fences and cutting off six Cambodian families from their homes in Prey Chan village, O Beichoan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province.
Out of respect for the ceasefire and to ensure the safety of local citizens, Cambodian forces have not responded with violence, as they await instructions from the national level, according to provincial governor Oum Reatrey.
On Thursday Afternoon, 14 August 2025, A seven-nation Interim Observer Team (IOT), led by Malaysian Defence Attaché to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and joined by other residents and non-resident Defence Attaché to the Kingdom of #Cambodia conducted an observation visit to Prey Chan Village, O’ Bei Choan Commune, O’ Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province. The visit was conducted following the reports of illegal barbed wire installation by the Thai armed forces on August 12–13, 2025. These developments occurred subsequent to the ceasefire agreement and the release of the joint statement during the Extraordinary Cambodia –Thailand General Boundary Committee Meeting (GBC Meeting) held on 7 August 2025, in Malaysia. #ExposeThailandLies #Borderdisputes
The Royal Thai Army’s latest claim of “self-defense” over a landmine explosion near the Cambodia–Thailand border is not a new tactic—it is a recycled pretext for aggression.

@PravitR This is border dispute that should talk by government of both country. Normally I found most of the headline are from Thai military army ... seem like Thai government just a spokesperson for Thai army.
@PravitR I don't understand why it is difficult too much for Thailand to adhere to ceasefire and start to solve the border dispute in peace by law not war.
Warning that peace along the Cambodian–Thai frontier is hanging by a thread, Cambodia has informed the United Nations that the ceasefire with Thailand remains fragile and could risk collapse. The Foreign Ministry has demanded that Thailand pull its troops and equipment back to the legally recognized boundary, accusing Bangkok of repeated incursions that threaten to reignite armed conflict.
