@ambroseya@a_software_dev@avdi @destepp @MarcBrosey@pcameronpresley A good reference book I have is The Complete Book of Games by Clement Wood and Gloria Goddard. It came out in 1940, so it is a little dated, but impressively exhaustive in its survey of gaming. I'm not sure how hard a copy is to come by. I got mine at a local library book sale.
@ambroseya@a_software_dev@avdi @destepp @MarcBrosey@pcameronpresley It looks like there is a book with great reviews on Amazon called Kobold Guide to Board Game Design by Richard Garfield (Magic: The Gathering), Steve Jackson (Munchkin), and other well known designers. I haven't read the book yet, but it's on my list.
@wrytersview@EW I think my favorite game to play was Lemmings on my Atari ST in 1991. Whenever I was with a friend who had a SNES, it was probably Super Mario World.
@erc4real I have a Hang-on cartridge for the Master System. I have no clue if the game cartridge even works because my Master System already has the game built in.
@Kitsuagi@ProducerBTW Bruce Wayne and Scrooge McDuck are both billionaires. Maybe they hang in the same social circles or at least shop from the same computer catalog.
While I was playing Splasher for this review, the town I live in here in Tennessee, Lenoir City, started flooding and the main street turned into a river. I'm sure it was a coincidence...
