To fix a *problem*, the logical answer is to rectify the *cause*.
E.g. If your tire gets a puncture due to a nail in the road, the answer is NOT to *ban* all nails (or the scary looking types). Instead, make the roads cleaner.
Why is logic not taught in schools?
.@realDonaldTrump-Children were gunned down last week. Instead of doing anything to prevent another shooting you’re watching tv, guzzling Diet Coke, eating KFC from your bed & tweeting out lies about your partnership with Russia. Your campaign colluded. STOP LYING! #TrumpColluded
@squashpants Reminded me of 80's Far Side cartoon panel...Fire Island, NY...Aliens...Talking Butts with legs...'Not only are the natives friendly, but they FEED US, TOO!'
@dangerwithin@mimimayes13@Watchfulbee You are so uneducated, it is bordering on retardation. Please read a book (or even an article) on the history firearms before typing and proving your stupidity.
Seriously France Paris Online S.a.s. could you please have something done about these +10k domains hosted at 212.83.133[.]129 and dropping a fake Flash Player update?! #Browserhijacker, https://t.co/LjwZJNt2iD, https://t.co/QHhZc0v0wW
@geoffreyfowler Or TFW...
you're watching a sporting event with your favorite team, they do something bad, so you blurt out colloquialism "I could kill (insert players name here)".
And Law Enforcement shows up at your door.
@Federalist1987 @theresas179 @hughhewitt NO. No amount of "due process" can suspend your a right. Would you be okay with an *individual* suspending your right to free speech, legal representation, due process (5th), bail, etc.? Do you know the definition of "inalienable"?
"Unreasonable" is NOT understanding your rights.
@Federalist1987 @theresas179 @hughhewitt Now you are either being willfully obtuse or ignorant of legal processes and the the justice system. I would suggest at least 1 college-level law course before typing. Just because there is a "legal court proceeding" does not guarantee "due process".
@Federalist1987 @theresas179 @hughhewitt You obviously missed my reply *quoting* the article...
There is very little "due process" in most judicial "orders". I'm assuming you've never been involved in SW's, TRO's, etc. because expeditious is an understatement.
@Federalist1987 @theresas179 @hughhewitt Not an "either-or" argument. This idea shifts the burden of responsibility from law enforcement (not sure where FBI came from) to private citizens.
Additionally, I am not in favor of any 'too-easy-to-obtain-temporary-injunction'. Much less one that restricts individual liberties.
@billpostmus And, yes it's another attempt to enact a "feel-good" law, that does not address the root cause.
To fix a *problem*, you rectify the *cause*.
If your tire gets a nail puncture, the answer is NOT to *ban* all nails (or the scary looking types). Instead, make the roads cleaner.
@billpostmus Because it's "far easier to explain to the public than our nation’s mental-health adjudications."?
FISA court anyone?
This bad 'idea' absolves the government for *any* responsibility, all while placing potential *blame* & litigation on those closest to any shooter!
