*Realizing the misalignment and wanting to change to be happiER (improving mental state) it* IS the dysphoria- just because it’s not a strong feeling does not mean it has a different name.
the mental gymnastics that you have to do to justify this stance is beyond me.
@TacBkdk Dysphoria is the distress caused by the misalignment between sex and gender, not the misalignment itself. You can feel there's a misalignment between your sex and gender without feeling distressed about it, and want to change it cause you know it fits you more or you'd be happier
this all the way. nobody who doesn’t want to transition needs to be TOLD not to transition. just stfu and let people “do trans” the way they want.
it is important to note that medically transitioning requires LEGAL support for insurance to cover it. Non-medical transitions do not require legal support to be accepted or covered.
@Brecciaballz It feels in the same vein as people who say “you can always just adopt”. Like, yes, you can and they know that. That doesn’t change that they want their own kids.
@aetherjsm the problem with your radical inclusivity is that if we have no definition and no need for any psychological stress as a criteria, then there is no legal/medical justification for insurance to cover gender affirming care. No disorder = no care. That’s why dysphoria is necessary
You mean I could have skipped the suffocating, debilitating and relentlessly distressing gender dysphoria??
I find it kind of funny that in a way the second line says “you don’t have to transition to be transition!”
I know “trans” has become more of an umbrella term for a larger spectrum of identities but still.. idk maybe find a different word instead of co-opting one that is relevant to defined pathways of treatment and social understa—
…. Ah, too late. The normies think it’s all BS 🥴
don’t believe the lie that billionaires will leave if we tax them-
if the US wasn’t the only place left where they could extort the world without consequences, then they would’ve left a long time ago…
