why don’t we make Maynila’s death date to 1945? Because that’s the year Manila was practically destroyed when the city was bombed. Modt of our historical sites and artifacts were destroyed as a result (unless there’s lore reasons lol)

On this day, June 5 1899, General Antonio Luna of the 1st Philippine Republic was assasinated in Cabanatuan by troops of the Kawit Battalion.
The true reason for his murder is still unknown and his death is remembered as a tragic event in Philippine History.
