Check out my latest article just published in The Journal of Sex Research on the stigma negotiation and resistance process among Internet-based male sex workers: https://t.co/Hf2jd8cgIu. Feel free to contact me for questions or feedback!
All sex workers conduct business differently to meet their personal boundaries, financial needs, and professional goals. We know that plenty of strippers have never offered extras but we will forever stand in solidarity with fssw and the fight for full decriminalization!
@KaytlinBailey breaks down what Gloria Steinem’s position on sex work means in practice. Here’s why there is nothing feminist or progressive about “End Demand” laws.
Many libertarians and liberty-minded people get it, but when talking to people newer to the issue of SW, we need to stress what legal models work (decrim) and what models don't (regulation). The best example of why regulation fails can be found in Nevada’s brothel system.
Yay! My girl Rose Byrne won the Independent Film Spirit Award for Best Lead Actor for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. Her performance is simply a revelation. If you haven’t watched it, go do it right now!
Rose Byrne had no actors on actors, roundtables, promos, grassroots campaign, a lone nominee for her cast and film, no best picture boost, a tiny budget, no nepo baby or overdue narrative yet she still managed to get recognised for every precursor and the Oscars. Her performance is undeniable and she would be a fantastic, deserving winner.
2025 was a major year for sex worker–supported policy.
In Rhode Island, DSW helped pass bills creating a safe reporting law, repealing discriminatory prostitution fines, and ending nonconsensual HIV testing.
In New York, lawmakers passed our long-fought Immunity bill.
Today, 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟕, we raise the Red Umbrella —not just as a symbol of remembrance, but as a shield of resistance.
Violence isn’t inevitable; it’s fueled by criminalization. We refuse to stay silent while stigma puts lives at risk.

✅ 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐰 – Safety over stigma.
✅ 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥 – Protection, not persecution.
✅ 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 & 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 – Because sex work rights are human rights.
We honor those we’ve lost by fighting for a future where every worker is safe, seen, and protected.

New Zealand adopted full decriminalization in 2003.
20+ years later, research shows sex workers report better safety, health, and police relationships without any increase in trafficking.
The evidence is clear: decriminalization works.
Sex workers deserve more than survival in the shadows of myths. They deserve rights, protection, and the full recognition of their humanity. The truth is clear - and we have the receipts.
