Another great Saturday in our Forest School area - fire pit building, lots more pruning, burning dead branches and we found another composting bin! Part two complete!  Part three continues next week when the bark turns up. A big shout-out to Wickes, Hinckley for their donation.

Year 2 had a great time on our Beaumanor Hall residential trip last week (more pic's to follow!). Thanks to Louise Brown for joining us to do songs around the camp fire. It was great to see her again!

In their D&T lessons, Year 2 have been making ferris wheels. 2K made a big class one! We all had a turn at moving it using the axle.

Stage 1 of our Forest School makeover is complete! Many thanks to Mr Cross for letting us use his digger at the weekend and for helping with all the manual labour!

What wonderful costumes for World Book Day (including the Executive Headteacher's!). Thank you to everyone who sponsored our pupils for the Readathon and congratulations to the winners!

Our Year 2 girls have made it through to the Leicestershire and Rutland County final!! They came first in their heat today and we are all extremely proud of them.

Year 1 had an exciting and interesting visit from the Fire Service this morning! They learned about fire safety and how to 'Stop. Drop. Roll'!

Our Reception classes (and staff!) had fun in their pancake races yesterday.

Our Year 1 Owls class have been learning about birds in their Forest School lesson.

Our Computing Club have been learning to touch type and create stories.

The whole school enjoyed Christmas parties this afternoon. They all looked fabulous in their party clothes and joined in fun and games.

We have had a wonderful Christmassy start to the week! Reception performed their last Nativity this morning and then it was time for our whole school Christmas dinner!

We all thoroughly enjoyed the Year 2 children's Nativity at St Catherine's Church this week. We are very proud them and are looking forward to next week's Christmas fun for the whole school!

The whole school went to Warwick Arts today for our Christmas theatre trip. We all enjoyed watching 'The Gruffalo' and joining in with the songs!

The children have been enjoying their visits to the PTFA's 'Secret Room' to choose their presents for family. Even our school guinea-pigs have been feeling festive round their new Christmas tree!

Our school choir sang beautifully at St Catherine's Church Christmas Fair on Saturday and put everyone in a festive spirit!
