If anyone needs evidence that free market #capitalism leads to the best standard of living look at this graph. US is storming ahead of over regulated socialist EU and U.K. #Britainisnotworking
Anyone else think Andy Burnham being installed as Prime Minister on Monday is deeply weird and unsettling?
At least when the Tories pulled this handover stunt there were multiple hustings and people got to know the candidates.
This has a banana republic feel. Not British.
This is Heather Herbert, the Labour Party and now Green Party supporter. She tweeted about the death of Ann Widdecombe, "I hope it was an extremely painful death".
There seems to be something physical and psychological that identifies this type of evil person. It disturbs me greatly.
Heather, you are not fit to walk in the shadow of Ann.

@EnglandUK Expect hard left policies that will do massive harm to UK economy. If you want economic growth it’s simple- have business friendly policies. This unelected PM is likely to wack up taxes on work and investment (CGT) and then give more to the scivers. More Investors will leave Uk
Millions of people see Nigel Farage, however flawed he may be, as “our last hope”.
The establishment don’t understand how broken people feel their country is, nor how urgent the need to fix it.

🚨 Kemi Badenoch Slams Labour’s New Childcare Giveaway: “You’re Not Working So Why Do You Need Free Childcare?”
Nick Ferrari on LBC: “Families on benefits must be given 33 free hours of childcare a week. Bridget Phillipson, Education Secretary, will say in a speech to be given today. Is that something you would see the Conservatives supporting, Mrs Badenoch?”
Kemi Badenoch:
“No, absolutely not. Labour are no longer the Labour Party, they are the Welfare Party. As even their Welfare Secretary said, all Labour MPs want is to tax more people. They keep asking who can they tax more to pay for more benefits. If you are on benefits that means you’re not working, so why do you need free childcare? There’s no common sense anymore.”
Kemi is spot on. Labour are now the party of welfare, all they want to do is tax more people to give away on benefits.
She’s right: why hand out free childcare to those not working? It makes no sense. 🤷♂️
Andy Burnham is now taking a few questions, albeit in highly controlled circumstances. He’s coming across as a bit Forrest Gump: well-meaning, naïve, uninformed.
So let’s get real. Here’s a proper question about a huge issue.
There are almost 11m people of working age in the UK who are economically inactive.
Yet Skills England reports that construction is short of 1m workers to meet the current infrastructure and housing targets — and that’s before you include Mr Burnham’s plans for a massive council house building programme.
It’s a clear sign of a labour market — skills shortage AND huge inactive labour pool — not functioning properly.
It needs to be put right before we have any chance of decent growth.
So, Mr Burnham, what would you do to put it right?
He is deluded
Highest energy costs
Unemployment rising rapidly
Manufacturing leaving UK
Food production leaving UK
Highest tax payers leaving UK
Only people staying are on welfare or can’t move for good reason
“Net Zero: Let’s make UK energy the most expensive in Europe, shut our factories, destroy jobs and local economies, plaster solar panels over thousands of acres of farmland, spend £billions turning off wind turbines because we can’t use their energy supply, spend £30 billion on carbon capture machines, ban new oil and gas licenses in the North Sea but spend £40billion buying North Sea oil and gas from Norway, blame cow burps, reduce red meat consumption and freeze pensioners so global CO2 drops by 0.0003%. But we will also build hundreds of AI data centres that guzzle natural resources and energy. China’s still building coal plants like it’s 1950 but at least we get to feel superior while the rest of the world laughs over our sheer stupidity. Genius.”
Starmer claims he “stabilised the economy”.
Britain is on the brink of financial ruin, driven towards the edge by Rachel’s awful Budget.
The pair of them have caused immense suffering.
This is wonderful. @CamillaTominey beautifully turns the screw on James Murray over Andy Burnham's coronation and directly calls out Labour's eye-watering hypocrisy.
Well worth a watch.
She doesn't give him an inch.
Absolute car crash.
