Just supply/demand. Unless rates drop significantly or housing supplies increase it will not change. Why should someone else give up something working for them just because someone else can't?
I'm sitting on a 3.5% rate, I don't want to stay here but I also have no choice like most others. We wanted to downsize years ago but what is the point if we end up near the same overall monthly cash flow? Its a lot of work for no real improvement.
@FitnessEmpiree I mean leg day in general. I always loved leg day when I was young, likely because I could out squat everyone but my bench sucked. Now that I'm back lifting as an old man, I never skip leg day. I never want to have an issue walking or getting up.
Why not, what else will you do with it? If it can impact your life significantly then yeah, lock in that life changing $ and get moving.
If not, do you have no faith long term in it? Unless I have something better to invest in I leave it alone. I've been able to average 30-60% overall the last 4 years doing this, not chasing returns and adding during dips when I can.
At this point, I'd need to drop like 80% to be at a loss and no specific goal for the $ so will keep building my mini mutual fund.
@anymanfitness Once you cut all the crap out of the diet its a lot easier. I struggle remembering to eat enough eat day since I don't really have cravings anymore.
@RickSterling79 And honestly the main change to accomplish it (aside from the gym) was eating real food. I stopped all processed, focused on protein goals and minimize my sugars (I still cheat there).
@RickSterling79 Father Time is generally more an excuse. After 25 years of letting life come before health I had to make a change so from 49-52 lost about 60lbs and put on about 20lb muscle again. At my HS body, not that strength but not really the same goals.
took over my mother's car when she couldn't drive anymore. No sense having a car payment if you don't need, I've taken what would have been a car payment and been trying to save it.
I could buy a luxury car for cash currently but still letting things grow. Only 50k miles on a 2015 Toyota.....we will see how long it goes.
It is easy work on most every vehicle and no, its not going to cause any more than before. People that have the ability will still be able. Most know they can't and will never even try.
Those that can't and shouldn't will still end up with their car stuck in their driveway calling someone for help.
Then don't. Trust the research that is out there or don't. I mean people it is not complicated, risk/reward on whatever.
Risks? Likely waste a little money (it is not expensive compared to most), maybe feel bloated and stop.
Upsides? Documented in strength training and multiple other potential cognitive benefits.
