A Handover Ceremony of Community Contribution Funds to NIS Foundation Somalia @NisfoundationS Account for the construction and upgrading of the Abdullahi Issa Football Stadium in Galkayo, Galmudug.

During the formal handingover event, the HAB committee transferred donation funds totaling $228,000 USD to support the construction.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Galmudug administration, former sports experts, district sports officials, and various community groups. Additionally, the NIS Foundation pledged an additional $277.72 USD, ensuring the completion of funding for the project.

During the event, the following key points were presented:

1. The planned phases of the stadium’s construction.

2. A detailed overview of the fundraising efforts and strategies employed to secure the required resources.

Representatives from the NIS Foundation announced that construction is scheduled to begin in February 2025, following the completion of all necessary preparations.

The Abdulahi Issa Football Stadium is expected to significantly contribute to the promotion of sports and the strengthening of community cohesion in Galkayo.
