@jakeissenberg Love the pod Jake, but we need to be more humble. "Welcome back Joel embiid", we got what was coming. We can celebrate the Celtics without being so dogmatic.
@jonathanbylos@Quasilocal The original question is framed for blue to win mainly because I think people assume it would be a peaceful death since the way you die isn't mentioned. If "babies vote" was mentioned it would be huge blue win same way woodchipper is huge red win.
@jonathanbylos@Quasilocal The woodchipper example makes the threat of blue just more visual, the more clear the threat to yourself is the more likely red wins. The framing of the question decides which side wins, you would have to vote based on framing and predict which side would win since you don't know
@jonathanbylos@Quasilocal It's all about framing. If you do the woodchipper example you could say that all the babies that jump in the woodchipper will die, but that would happen if they did that regardless. The results drastically change based on framing for either red or blue it's borderline paradoxical
@chaitinsgoose But to your point framing matters a lot, and the framing itself needs to be considered. "given this framing, what will others vote?" you need to consider your vote based on that especially if no extra info is given.
@VirgilDuck If babies vote sure I'd do blue. The hypothetical is fake and not real and designed to get you thinking, you could make a lot of hypotheticals boring and not interesting with this mindset though and isn't the point of the experiment imo.
@VirgilDuck Again we're just throwing new hypotheticals out there lol. If kids are part of it I'd agree, the original doesn't mention if they are or not. Its a hypothetical based on deduction and reasoning that babies cannot do obviously.
@dead_baseball It's a different hypothetical. One of the points is that you don't know what others are voting. If people were able to collaborate I think blue makes more sense, with no collaboration you are kidnapped and forced to choose red probably makes more sense since you don't know.
No coverage, social media clips, transformative content, news reporting etc. On capcom cup finals until over a week later.
This stiffles any chance for organic buzz from CC to grow interest in the scene.
I hope the japan esports division is aware of this risk.
