Inspiring the next generation of golfers
Today we invited Jessica Hall into school to share her experiences in the golfing world. Due to fantastic questions being asked by all classes, she was able to share her achievements so far, including playing for the England Womenβs Squad.

KS1 had a wonderful day at the Yorkshire Air Museum. We found out even more information about the development of flight and the pioneers of the air. The children loved having the opportunity to be up close with so many amazing pieces of history!
Reception have had a fabulous day learning about different plants and animals at Monk Park Farm. We fed wallabies and lambs, snuggled pigs and even he,led collect some eggs from the hens!
KS1 were lucky enough to invite Corporal Humphreys into school today as part of our history topic, 'The History of Flight'. The children enjoyed hearing all about the RAF, having a go at making RAF inspired paper aeroplanes and were even able to try on some of his equipment!
We have been incredibly lucky to take part in some Puppet Workshops today. Wrens loved telling the stories of The Three Little Pigs and The Gingerbread Man and then enjoyed their very own Puppet Dance Party!
In art, Hawks have been studying the work of Turner-nominated Fiona Rae, and using the formal elements of art to convey meaning through abstract compositions.
Swifts really enjoyed their final art lesson this term. They used an assortment of oil pastels to create different tones and produced a beautiful string of Christmas lights.
Hawks are studying the significance of the Mediterranean this term, and have been 'zooming in' on Italy today; they have learnt about the capaluogos of each region. and their individual characteristics, cultures and economies.
Our Year 5 and 6 footballers were in action yesterday, finishing 4th in the Richmondshire area finals after a nail-biting semi-final and penalty shootout. So much teamwork, resilience and determination to be proud of - well done boys!
Reception have been creating their own explorers in Drawing Club this afternoon. Some were going to Antarctica, some to the moon and some were even going to explore Sweetie Land! @GregBottrill@canigoandplay
KS1 worked together to make some tasty soup this week as part of our D.T. curriculum. We didn't want the soup to go to waste and sold it to fund more nativity props and KS1 resources. We made Β£122! Thank you to all parents/carers for your continued support.
Y1 have spent the last couple of weeks learning about Remembrance Day. As part of their learning, they have produced some fantastic descriptive writing and poetry π
