@corellianlegend The casting was okay. I thought it started as a fun heist movie but they laid it on thick with the unnecessary memberberries and trying to explain things that didn't need explaining. Cut out that stuff and add more Lando and you might have something worth watching.
@StarWarsDaily_ Anakin should have been ten years older. It makes more sense for a 16-19 year old to be building hot rods and entering dangerous races than a 9 year old.
I think my favorite was one of the short stories books. The one where Boba Fett was doing a thing to try and finally get Solo but really the story was about his inner monologue lamenting about aging and being the "the best" even though one always got away. Tales of the Bounty Hunter maybe?
@TheWolfmanDB instead of a sequel it spawned a bunch of clones that were mostly okay. Although it was probably a spawn from the League of Extraordinary gentlemen formula. I don't remember which came first.
A few hours left to catch the latest reprinting of the classic British comic strip. It's #postapocalypse goodness from the late 70's. Now on issue 8! AXA Issue 1-8 on @Kickstarter https://t.co/qMklaDUfFp
@MiffedScientist@TatooineSons Yeah, in that story Luke actually kinda falls Dark Side thinking he can control it. Leia is the one that saves him. I don't remember the details cause I haven't read it in over 20 years.
@TatooineSons It's interesting that for comparison you pull a cover from the series where Luke falls to the Dark side and it's Leia that saves him and creates the conditions for them to defeat the resurrected and cloned emperor. Yeah... that Luke is so perfect and boring.
@uniquemoviemom He's only like 50 or so in the OT. In lore maybe he really restrained himself and didn't need to rip things apart in the scenes we saw on screen. Reality though, we just have to accept that power levels retconned over time and it makes the OT a bit tame.
@ItsPhigs It was fun but the powers were so over the top. Which I get it's the style, and I like it, but I don't think it provides a better story than the full series. Not by a mile. But it was great at generating interest in more Clone Wars content.
@Terrormolinos@StarWarsDaily_ Wherever it came from, it made me wake up to the realization that the whole movie was a dumb joke and not meant to be taken seriously at all. I stopped trying to make sense of anything because there was no sense to be had. They should have called it "Star Wars: Because F*ck It"
@TheCinesthetic With a few changes, Prometheus works pretty well as a standalone sci-fi monster flick. As a prequel trying to connect and explain everything in the Aliens universe? Uh... no. Maybe you love it, but for me it was bad ideas on top of bad ideas.
