You can tell when someone’s never worked a service job before. I work at a grocery store, off the top of my head at least 9 employees with obvious adhd were fired/demoted for tardies in the past 5 years. We have a staff of 13 ppl.
a woman will report she's being stalked / abused by a man, and police will say, "nothing we can do." and the woman will be killed by the man she reported.
but there'll be many officers responding to noise complaints / shoplifting as long as they think the perpetrator is black.

It’s because the amusement industry is dying. It’s a slow death, but it’s dying. Too much wealth is being siphoned to the 1%, and the target audience for regional parks is the middle class.
The only parks doing well are mega regionals and 1% vacation destinations like Disney.
If you see ANYONE you're working with balled up on the ground sobbing, mental illness/disability or not and your initial reaction is 'omg what an inconvenience' and not 'this person needs support right now', you're just a bad person
