The right-wing press in the UK and Israel is rounding on Zack Polanski, the only Jewish leader of a major political party in Britain, for supporting our campaigning journalism.

Polanski is among over 60 prominent figures to have signed the letter, yet the media has decided to focus its attention on him.

Why wouldn’t we gather the names of qualified people and draw them like jury duty jurors to serve rather than trying to make poor people scrabble up the money to put some non-jackass in office when obviously it’s a jackass race. No mules, zebras, horses allowed.

My impression of Americans, some I’ve met, some I see on tv or running for office/-they’re SO FORGIVING of candidates and it makes me think those people are themselves as skanky or more skeezy than the shit politicians they support.
