One of the coolest stories you'll see from this Draft 👏
Jaxon Cover grew up playing roller hockey in the Cayman Islands and didn't start organized ice hockey until he was 13.
Just five years later, he's a first-round NHL Draft pick 🤯

It's official! Our basic training expansion camp has been christened Camp Corporal Karine Blais.
Cpl Blais was an Armour Soldier who completed her basic training here in St-Jean in 2006, and was killed in combat in Afghanistan in 2009.
Framing recent police deaths in Canada as “within the historical range” is hurtful and tone deaf. These officers were not statistics. They were people. Read our full letter responding to @CBCNews.

Marc and I will discuss what he says David Eby knows about BC’s real estate market players — it’s time. History is an investigative tool. I’m the historian. I’m the investigator.
How does the BC Housing Minister, who is a Vancouver MLA, and the federal Housing Minister, who is a Vancouver MP, sign a deal that won’t help Vancouverites?
Why doesn’t a family in Vancouver get the same GST relief on housing as a family in Toronto?
This is unacceptable.

CBC refused to include a comment from Pierre Poilievre to balance their coverage of Carney’s press conference.
Pierre spoke and took questions for 56 minutes. (Video below)
The CBC included 0% of it.
The CBC is the state broadcaster and only exists because Canadians are forced to pay for it through their taxes.
The very least it can do is cover all sides of the issues.
The Bureau has learned Canada’s government in fact does have police documents that identify serious corruption involving Chinese transnational crime in B.C. that should have been relevant to the Cullen Commission, according to a general description of a specific intelligence record from a federal source that asked not to be identified due to sensitivity of the matter.
The source specified this document from B.C.’s anti-illegal gaming unit (JIGIT) is dated April 16, 2019, and was provided for B.C.’s then Attorney General, David Eby.
The sensitive report is classified “Protected B” the federal source said. The classification means if some of JIGIT’s intelligence became public it could cause “serious injury to an individual, organization or government.”
The Bureau’s legal efforts to obtain a redacted version or some official response regarding this alleged April 2019 document from the RCMP and British Columbia’s government have so far been unsuccessful.

Sadly story & criminologist completely miss and/or ignore very important context. While improvements to equipment & training have mitigated some of the risk, policing has never been more dangerous than it is now. More violence, more trauma & more harm... https://t.co/HWWLpLeQv8
@bobmackin digs for the records on Liberal fundraisers relevant to this bailout— some of these names may be worth scrutinizing- ‘Speaking of friends, insiders and lobbyists
Carney was the featured guest when condo marketer Bob Rennie hosted Liberal fundraisers in February 2025 and February 2026.
The latter came the month after Carney went to Beijing and announced a strategic partnership with Communist China.
Attendees included a who’s who of top executives from Vancouver real estate players: Aquilini, Concord Pacific, Holborn, Intergulf, Larco, Mosaic, MST, Nch’kay, Onni, Pacific Reach, Peterson, Polygon, Pinnacle, Reliance, Strand, Sutton Group, Thind, Wall and Westbank
Also the industry’s lobby group, Urban Development Institute, and media-shy Whitecaps owner and real estate investor Greg Kerfoot.
Back in 2014, Rennie famously promoted a $25,000-a-plate luncheon for Robertson’s mayoral re-election campaign. Until 2017, B.C. had no limit on the size of political donations.
The co-organizer of Carney’s 2025 and 2026 visits to Rennie?

Côte-des-Neiges Shooting -
My thoughts are with the victims and their families, both the bystander and the police officer.
After watching videos taken from multiple angles, it appears clear that the police made a fatal mistake when they shot the bystander.
After the officer was struck by gunfire, his partner remained frozen in shock, looking at her colleague on the ground and losing precious seconds. When she finally took her eyes off the injured officer and turned around, she found herself face-to-face with the bystander who was trying to take cover beside her. Instead of helping him find shelter, she shot him at point-blank range.
This was a major mistake by the officer, made under extreme stress, and it cost a person their life. Had she remained focused on the shooter, she would not have mistaken him for a bystander.
This situation is tragic on all fronts. The loss of an innocent person’s life is unacceptable. Police officers are trained to respond to situations like this.
These events must not be used to distract from the ongoing problems of racism and other serious issues within the SPVM. The SPVM should focus on improving the training of its officers to prevent situations like this, rather than devoting resources to random stops and checks.

To many who have actually seen combat, know how this female officer feels.
To have a man, come from behind in the SAME direction as the shooter was, would startle any seasoned officer. This was a tragic case of misidentification in an extremely tense situation.
Her partner has just been shot. Shooter mere feet away. Then this guy casually strolls up behind her in what appears to be complete silence.
What would YOU have done?
