Jesus washed the feet of the disciples: humility in leadership. Jesus Christ was an amazing example in leadership. His leadership style is worthy of emulation.

Legs are usually the dirtiest part of the body because of its proximity to the ground. He used his hands to wash the feet of the twelve disciples and even went ahead to use his robe as towel for the feet.

Those who are evil can only destroy good things, doing good is beyond them. They scatter but do not have the capacity to gather.

While others were trading with their own talent, he was busy meddling in other people’s affairs and gathering negative information about his lord. Can you imagine, every other person made gain except him, just because of his mindset. Someone even traded and made a profit of £10, while he was in his comfort zone.

Ask yourself a vital question this morning: am I always complaining?Some people complain about everything and everyone except themselves. Are you in that category?

Be prepared for a change. Note that, every good thing in this life requires effort. Those little efforts will one day bring out large result, just don’t quit.

There is this Yoruba hymn that encourages consistent prayer life: “Aare mu o, okan re poruru, so fun Jesu, so fun Jesu…” Meaning, man ought to pray and not faint (Lk 18: 1). That fainting period is when you should force yourself to draw closer to God.

So, we as children of God should pray without seizing.

When it comes to prayers there is no vacation.

“Ego comes with power and power is an attachment to a position of authority. Ego invariably kills knowledge. We need to learn new things on daily basis in order to sustain a position. If ego prevents us from learning then there will be misuse of power. The power and position then might not be sustained. If you are going to hold on to power for long, be humble, because humility is a learning requirement. Be humble or you will stumble” (D. L. Moody).
