Jesus called the Jews everything from "children of the devil" to "synagogue of Satan."

Saying that without context is manipulation of Scripture, and a complete betrayal of who Jesus was and why He came.

Jesus wasn’t an outsider calling out the Jews, He was born into the Jewish people, He followed the Law, His parents took Him to the temple, He read from the scroll of Isaiah in the synagogue, and He celebrated Passover.

He didn’t speak about “the Jews” as if they were some alien tribe, He was one of them.

When He began His ministry, He explicitly instructed His disciples in Matthew 10:5-6:

“Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.”

And again, after His resurrection, He told them to start their witness in Jerusalem, the heart of the Jewish people (Acts 1:8).

Because the Gospel was first for the Jew, then for the Gentile (Romans 1:16).

Did Jesus rebuke Pharisees? Yes.
Did He confront hypocrisy? Absolutely.

But those rebukes were not about ethnicity or identity, they were aimed at religious pride, corruption, and legalism anywhere and anytime.

And He did the same to His own disciples when they got it wrong.

Confronting false understanding of God's law is not a rejection of an entire people.

And twisting the words of Jesus to justify hatred against Jews is demonic.

Jesus wept over Jerusalem.

He longed to gather His people like a mother hen gathers her chicks (Luke 13:34).

He didn’t come to curse the Jews. He came through them to save them, and the whole world.

So don’t fall for the twisted theology that tries to use Jesus to attack the Jewish people.

Jesus didn’t die to replace Israel. He died to fulfill the promise that came through them.

I did say these things about Ukraine and Zelensky and I am not deleting my posts because I’ve realized, I was wrong.

I was living in a media echo chamber and I was propagandized by Russian media on social media to believe those things.

So I came to Ukraine to see the country for myself. I am going to try to find evidence for the propaganda I’ve been fed, and if I don’t find it, I will let everyone know so they too can come to see the light.

On day one, I’ve already seen photos of dead priests in Bucha murdered by Russia and I saw the mass grave where the bodies of murdered Christians were placed after Russia sent forces from Chechnya to massacre innocent people.

I spoke with officials who rescue POWs and they showed me photos of Ukrainian POWs who had swastikas engraved into their forehead by Russians.

Who are the Nazis? 🤔 I was lied to for years.

I realized Ukraine and @ZelenskyyUa aren’t the jihadi apologists… but Russia and Putin are!

I was wrong! I have a responsibility to correct the record.

You keep calling dispensationalism a “novel heresy” while appealing to the authority of a supposedly unanimous historic Church, but that argument creates a much bigger problem for you than it does for Joel Berry.

The Bible did not descend from a pristine institution untouched by error. The medieval Western church preserved Scripture through Catholic monasteries, copied by Catholic monks, while also accumulating doctrines Protestants later rejected as unscriptural. So “the Church believed it for centuries” is not proof that the Church interpreted it correctly. If institutional longevity settles doctrine, then the Reformation itself becomes illegitimate.

That is why Protestants do not test theology by asking whether it was popular for two thousand years. We test it against Scripture.

And Scripture does not say unbelieving Jews are saved apart from Christ. Almost no serious Christian Zionist claims that. It says something more precise: Israel can be presently hardened regarding the gospel while still remaining beloved regarding election because of the patriarchs. Paul says both in the same paragraph.

“Concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.”

That is not Scofield. That is Romans 11.

The argument keeps collapsing three different questions into one:

Are Jews saved without Christ? No.

Does the modern Israeli government receive automatic approval for every policy? No.

Has God revoked every promise, calling, and covenantal purpose attached to Israel because many Jews presently reject Christ? Paul says no.

That distinction is the entire issue, and mockery about Darby, Oxford, “Zionists,” and Catholic history does not answer it.

Nor does citing Psalm 87 or Zechariah 9 prove that modern Palestinians are prophetically destined to rule the modern State of Israel. Ancient Philistia is not interchangeable with every modern political use of the word Palestine. That is word association masquerading as exegesis.

The real sleight of hand is pretending the only alternatives are:

“Jews are saved without Jesus”

or

“God completely disinherited Israel and transferred every promise to the Church.”

Romans 9 through 11 rejects both.

There is one Savior, one gospel, and one means of salvation. But the faithfulness of God does not depend on human belief, and the unbelief of some does not make His promises void.

That is the argument you still have not answered.

The irony is that the prophetic framework often used to defend modern dispensationalism did not originate with Scofield or even Darby. Its futurist reading of Revelation is commonly traced to Francisco Ribera, a sixteenth-century Spanish Jesuit priest who placed most of Revelation’s Antichrist prophecies at the end of history, partly in the Counter-Reformation context against Protestant historicist readings of the papacy. Darby later developed the distinct nineteenth-century system called dispensationalism, and Scofield popularized it by placing dispensational notes beside the biblical text in the Scofield Reference Bible, published by Oxford in 1909.

Btw I reach the same conclusion and I am not a dispensationalist. I just read Scripture and understand covenant.

The real demand underneath this argument is clear: Christians must declare that God has disinherited the Jewish people, transferred their promises to us, and erased their continuing covenantal significance or else be accused of participating in their damnation.

You do not get to turn concern for Jewish salvation into a weapon against God’s faithfulness. You do not get to blame Christians for the unbelief of other human beings because they refuse to make God a liar. And you certainly do not get to drag the Holocaust into the argument as a cheap emotional threat while advancing the theology that Jews have been rejected, displaced, and stripped of everything God promised their fathers.
