When a conflict unfolds, how do we separate what is claimed from what can actually be verified?
This question led me to my first independent intelligence brief on Afghanistan Pakistan.
I chose this event to look beyond the headlines and understand how competing narratives emerge, how claims can be assessed, and where the available evidence leaves unanswered questions.
For this learning exercise, I used open source reporting, official statements and publicly available material. I built a timeline, compared claims against independent reporting, assessed competing hypotheses, and used the OODA loop as an analytical model to examine the potential risk of escalation.
My conclusions are based on the sources reviewed, their level of corroboration, and the gaps that remain. I have tried to distinguish reported claims from confirmed information and analytical inference rather than present uncertainty as fact.
This is my first attempt at bringing these methods together in a structured brief. I’m sharing it to document my learning, improve my analytical writing, and welcome constructive feedback.

From Delhi to Paris to Tehran, a generation is on the streets, fighting for rights, dignity and a future it deserves.
They should be building their dreams, not risking their safety just to be heard.
What kind of future are we leaving them?

On the occasion of the BRICS Theatre Festival, it may be worth speaking about Iranian theatre not by beginning with the construction of the first theatre hall or the writing of the first play, but from somewhere much further back, from that moment when human beings first stood before one another, assumed a role, gave voice to another voice, told a story and recreated their world before the eyes of others.

Congratulations, Navi Pillay, for standing up for truth and justice for Palestine. 🇵🇸 Sometimes, speaking the truth is the real prize — and the best reality check for those who need it most. 😉🏆
I grew up near an Air Force station in Kanpur, and the roar of jets was part of the sky I knew as a child. On Air Force Day, I reflect on the people, courage and air power behind that familiar sound. https://t.co/WNhiDWSSi6

We remember the victims of the October 7 terror attack and all civilians who have suffered in the violence and war that followed.
We pray for peace, and for a future where no child, no family, and no innocent person has to live trapped in violence or fear.
