My 5 year old has saved $165.64 so far 😁

He takes 50% of what he makes and puts it into savings that he isn’t allowed to touch until he’s old enough to buy his own car.

Then he spends the other 50% however he likes (which is usually on hot wheels lol).

He gets his money from presents, birthdays, often finds it randomly on the ground or makes money by helping me with my business, being rewarded for personal growth work or thru his own little business collecting cans/bottles he sees on the ground then recycles it.

I’m very proud of how disciplined he has been and the fact that he is learning about money at such an early age.

I had no clue about money until I was in my late 20’s but honestly probably only in the last couple of years have I started to figure it out.

It was something I was never taught by my parents, and of course it’s something i wanted him to feel empowered to around instead of getting to adulthood and realising he is fkd like I was.

Will be interesting to see how things unfold for him over coming years… especially once he nails reading and writing.

No doubt he will see entrepreneurship as a tool to achieve his goals and dreams in his life, and see no limitations in his reality.

To those that have kids - what ways do you educate your kiddos about moolah, or if you don’t have kids… do you have any cool strats you’ll be implementing?

p.s. since most people are heavily in debt or in the red, I realised he’s probably got more $$ than most people in the world 😂 idk if that’s a good thing tho 😳 this planet def needs some work

Boards, directors and executives will be learning how to do this in our 2024 offerings. @RayDalio summed it up so well. Not being able to control emotions if you don't agree is part of the essentials for business going forward. [Or maturity if you want to compare it to tantrums!]

It is harder to run an idea meritocracy in which disagreements are encouraged than a top-down autocracy in which they are suppressed. But when believable parties to disagreements are willing to learn from each other, their evolution is faster and their decision making is far better.

The key is in knowing how to move from disagreement to decision making. It is important that the paths for doing this are clear so that who is responsible for doing what is known.

It is essential to know where the ultimate decision-making authority lies—i.e., how far the power of the argument will carry relative to the power of the assigned authority. While arguing and especially after a decision is rendered, everyone in the idea meritocracy must remain calm and respectful of the process. It is never acceptable to get upset if the idea meritocracy doesn't produce the decision that you personally wanted. #principleoftheday
