Busoni’s widow writes of the loss of all possessions after a bomb hit the Berlin house where Busonis lived. FB’s piano concerto score & parts were rescued by Egon Petri. Moving correspondence between people, whose lives were broken by the world wars of the 20th Century.

2/2 incredible correspondence that Kestenberg had with Busoni - Kestenberg was instrumental in arranging Busoni’s return to Berlin to lead a composition class (Schönberg was then the successor after FB’s death); letter exchange with Einstein, Kokoschka, Toscanini.
