Chelsea offered £117m for Rogers in an owner-to-owner deal.
2 days later, Aston Villa signed Garnacho from them on a 4-year deal with an obligation to buy at £42.67m.
That puts the Morgan Rogers take-home at £74.33m. £6m less than Arsenal's Rogers valuation.
Good job Arsenal's ownership stuck to their value... because the Chelsea valuation had another deal baked into it.
Chelsea, not the biggest club in London, but probably the best at working the system.
@c_lee256 Still got a premier league winning and champions league final squad …merino for rice saka is sweet Mosquera for saliba the position he was bought to cover if not white or timber Jesus and vieira will be gone it’s a World Cup window what’s the problem?
@HLTCO If Timber comes on 5 mins earlier which he should have as mosquera was on a booking we don’t even have this discussion but yeah I think it was the right approach they want you to go toe to toe we frustrated the life out of them it’s gutting but so proud of all of them 👏
