There is a final year student of Microbiology (OAU), who is currently in critical condition, and the cost of treatment is beyond what his family can afford.

He had seizures, and fell from a two-storey building in Faj, and sustained a broken right hip bone (which requires immediate surgery), and a basal skull fracture

BREAKING NEWS: A Nigerian-led team at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has achieved a major milestone in malaria research.

The scientists determined and deposited the first-ever crystal structure of Plasmodium falciparum transketolase bound to an inhibitor in the global Protein Data Bank — the first entry authored entirely by Nigerian researchers.

Led by Dr. Olatomide Fadare, the breakthrough could fast-track the development of next-generation antimalarial drugs amid rising resistance to existing treatments.
