The new leadership at CBS News told 60 Minutes' Scott Pelley "to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story.”
Democracy Docket's only bias is being pro-democracy. Support its work and expand its reach by subscribing now. https://t.co/QNEWjNnxKD
The Shelby (NC) Police Department officer captured on doorbell camera punching a woman during an arrest has been fired. While termination for this officer's actions is an important step, it does not erase what the community witnessed! No one should have to fear excessive force at the hands of those sworn to protect and serve.
If taxing unrealized gains is somehow “unfair” for billionaires holding stock, then why are middle class homeowners hit every year with rising property taxes based on the unrealized value of their home?
Most people haven’t sold their house. They haven’t “realized” anything. Yet the tax bill keeps going up anyway.
Don’t forget when Rome was collapsing emperors would use Gladiator fights to distract the people from the Corruption of the State at that time! This is all starting to make sense now. Who agrees?
Question: You’ve been in the markets a long time. A U.S. president touts a stock (Dell). Stock goes up. The president’s holdings of that stock increase in value. Is that kosher?
@ArthurHoganIII: “Not even a little bit.”
BREAKING: New research cited from the Cato Institute reportedly found only about 5% of ICE detainees had committed violent crimes.
Which means roughly 95% reportedly did NOT have violent offense records.
This is a 6-minute Republican video outlining Ken Paxton’s corruption.
This now “unlisted” YouTube video was repeatedly sent out by the NRSC. It’s devastating.
This year, Trump purchased more than $1 million of Dell stock.
This week, Trump's Pentagon announced a $9.7 billion contract with Dell.

President Donald J. Trump commuted the prison term of David Gentile, who led GPB Capital, less than two weeks after he began serving a seven-year sentence in a $1.6 billion fraud that prosecutors said harmed more than 10,000 investors. https://t.co/0JGqpVj7JW
The Republican Party quietly deleted their own ad attacking Ken Paxton's record on crime... because Paxton is now the Republican Party's nominee to represent Texas in the U.S. Senate.
Figured if the ad is important enough to delete, it's important enough to see...
First Trump targeted Marjorie Taylor Greene, then it was Thomas Massie, but now he's specifically going after Ro Khanna.
Hmmm, it's almost as if he wants to destroy every politician that wants to release the Epstein files.
Turns out Trump only had a two year window to file a lawsuit over his tax return release. That window closed long before Trump made a deal with the DOJ. The people of the United States owe Trump nothing for a payout. Andrew Weissman says this 1.776 billion dollar slush fund is flat out theft and is not part of his official acts. Trump has no immunity for theft. He said anyone involved in putting together this theft is also open to prosecution.
