@Dalycfc1 Unreal btw - just shows that folk like that play into the boards hands all because they get backhanders and reacharounds - no wonder things haven’t changed in about 20years - a burst out laughing reading that tweet tho - superb 😂😂😂
My response to the comment in the pic below. Celtic FB really is a different animal.
There are many things in life more important than football. This is one of them. To stay silent in the face of this ethnic cleansing, genocide, mass murder, call it what you will, makes you complicit.
All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Almost a cliche at this point but seems to be easily forgotten.
The genocide of An Gorta Mór is the reason Celtic exists. If we stand by and watch genocide visited upon another people, without a whimper of protest or acknowledgement, then we have forgotten our history. The one you’re supposed to know.
It’s not just empty words in a song.
The PLC will do what it must to protect the corporate entity. That however, bears no relation to how the club was founded, the roots that we profess to be proud of, the charitable soul of Celtic. Started to save the oppressed and the destitute.
That which makes us more than a club.
And yet, you think the damage comes from fining a club with 70m in the bank a few grand.
No, the permanent damage to the club comes from the erosion of its soul, as kept alive by those who do not forget its history.
This is all leaving aside the hypocrisy of UEFA et al, in declaring politics to be unacceptable, yet making support of Ukraine almost compulsory. A hypocrisy that was pointed out at the time.
I think Rob, you should reflect on our history. What makes us special, and sets us apart from every other team in the world.
Always more than a club. A support with a conscience, who will always stand up for the oppressed.
