Where are all the queer voices in Luxembourgish literature? I somehow get the impression that you have to do a lot of digging before you find an authentic representation of the LGBTQI+ reality in local literature.
During Pride Month (why only then?), current publications from abroad are often selected and put in the display windows of bookstores - why is no text by a local author, such as myself, selected? Are Luxembourg authors merely stocked and not actively read?
The literary examination of the topic - that is, the one that does not draw the queer representation in a crude way and lace it with outdated images and prejudices - is extremely important for many young and not so young readers, and this must also be adequately valued.
