@AliArthPainter@Minaretunit@BBCNews Are they though, I probably know far more disabled people who have more money than most, than I do that don't, obviously its geographical.
@Speedywheels1@Minaretunit@BBCNews I don't have an issue with that, all I'm saying is there are very rich & rich people with disabilities that are taking discounted prices, accepting free parking etc, this all has an affect on cost for everyone, even disabled people themselves
@hutch4093@Minaretunit@BBCNews I agree, but what I'm saying is there are disabled people with more money than most that abuse it, simply because they have a disability or blue badge.
@eactnowuk@Ames20024@Minaretunit@BBCNews I have no issue with those getting help that need it, my point is until the system is fairer those that can afford will keep taking, so it all needs addressing so those that don't need it don't get it, that way more can be given to those who need it.
@sharrond62 Unfortunately like many I know, I have lost interest in the Olympics, athletic & sports events because of this, why don't organisers just have separate events for those that Id as something they were not born as, surely it is not that hard to do.
@Ames20024@Minaretunit@BBCNews 2/2
then becomes a lot of money, which the general public end up paying, general public that can't afford it paying for those that can.
As I said, Im not against helping those that need help, but more help can be there if those that don't need it stop getting it.
@Ames20024@Minaretunit@BBCNews Correct, but a disabled railcard is cheaper, they also get 1/3 off for anyone travelling with them, there are free railcards if you have a visual or hearing impairment, claim PIPs or have epilepsy.
For one person it seems minimal cost, but multiply by thousands, it ....1/2
@philwetherick@drivesanicecar@SpeechUnion Anyone who has witnessed intimidation outside shops & properties know it will lead to trouble or a crime unless tackled, free speech as you call it is often speech leading to crime happening intentionally.
@philwetherick@drivesanicecar@SpeechUnion It makes sense, Helen says if a crime has not been committed they should not be involved, I am saying crimes start before being committed & can be prevented by what is being suggested by Cooper.
@philwetherick@drivesanicecar@SpeechUnion Perhaps you should review it, crimes are committed because police have not intervened, I mentioned burglaries as a way to reply and put my point across, have you ever had a debate and used only the first words used and never expanded on it, I doubt it.
@Ames20024@Minaretunit@BBCNews Medical equipment, health products, reduced price access to venues and travel.
I don't disagree with you, my family & I are all for free & discounted, but a line should be drawn on who gets it for free, especially when there are non disabled in more need of reduced prices.
@Glenn69D@Minaretunit@BBCNews How is it irrelevant, first bit = being disabled in general does not assume they should get freebies,.
second bit = many disabled like my family don't need to claim or take discounted prices.
Added together shows the original poster I agree with him.
@Glenn69D@Minaretunit@BBCNews It is not irrelevant, they are offered free aids, they can get discounted products etc as the are disabled, they choose not too, but tens of thousands do abuse it, again being disabled does not mean you can not afford to pay your own way.
@Glenn69D@Minaretunit@BBCNews Did I say they applied for them, NO.
My father is registered blind, needs a blue badge to park close to where he goes, my uncle has MS needs wheelchair facilities, both don't go out their way to claim or abuse the system, but tens of thousands do who have no morals.
