Outdoor Warning Sirens are just that-to warn people who may be outdoors of an impending tornado. They are usually placed in areas where frequent outdoor activity takes place and have an effective range of about a mile. Don’t depend on hearing one inside your home during a weather event. Instead, sign up for the CodeRED Alerting System for FREE. This system sends targeted, area-specific alerts straight to your mobile phone via text, automated call, or both to notify you of severe thunderstorm, flood, and tornado warnings in your area.
Visit https://t.co/n4T36Lqfyy, scroll to the bottom of the page, and look for the CodeRED signup button on the left. You can also sign up here: https://t.co/Pv4yqdgDoj
Make sure to save the CodeRED number (866-419-5000) in your contacts and mark it as a favorite so you don’t miss important alerts due to spam filters.
Stay informed and be prepared for storms coming tomorrow and Sunday.
