15. Joe Traynor, 20, from Ballymount, Dublin. Cycled to the game with his friend. Shot twice in the back as he climbed the wall at the Canal End. Carried by members of the Ring family to their home to on Sackville Gardens. Died shortly after arriving in hospital

14. James Teehan, 26, originally from Gurteen Tipperary, owned a pub on Green Street, Dublin with his brother John. Crushed at the same gate as James Burke

13. John William Scott, 14, Fitzroy Avenue. Born and reared with Croke Park at the end of his street. Struck by a ricocheted bullet, his chest wound so bad it was thought he had been bayoneted.

12. Tom Ryan, 27, Viking Road, Stoneybatter, originally from Glenbrien, Wexford. Gas company worker. Shot as he whispered a prayer into Ml Hogan’s ear. An IRA volunteer who was part of a group involved in the attacks on alleged spies that morning. Their target wasn’t home

11. William Robinson, 11. From Little Britain St, Dublin. Was sitting in a tree at the corner of the modern Davin/Hogan Stands. Turned as he heard the armoured cars arriving on the bridge behind him. Shot through the chest and shoulder. The first victim

10. Jerome O’Leary, 10, from Blessington Street, Dublin. Was helped above the crowd onto a wall at the back of the Canal goal before the game. Shot in the head as he looked towards the police firing from the canal bridge outside. The second victim

9. Patrick O’Dowd, 57, labourer from Buckingham Street, Dublin. Shot while on top of a wall on the Cusack Stand side pulling people to safety. One of eight victims in unmarked graves for nearly 100 years

8. James Mathews, 38, labourer from North Cumberland St. Went to the game with a friend and was shot climbing a wall to safety. His friend got away. His youngest daughter Nancy lived to see a gravestone erected for her father in 2016

7. Tom Hogan, 19, from Tankardstown, Limerick. Working as a mechanic in Dublin, was shot in the shoulder which required the amputation of his arm. Gangrene set in, he died the following Friday and became the final victim of the shootings in Croke Park

6. Michael Hogan, Tipperary player. 24, farmer from Grangemockler. Right-corner-back in his second year on the Tipp team. Shot as he crawled to the fence on the modern Cusack Stand side and died on the field. Immortalised by the naming of the Hogan Stand in Croke Park
