Memo to the media: Please don't say inflation is at a 40-year high without also mentioning that corporate profits are at a 70-year high. Give the people the full picture.
@Capt_Planat@ifeulner@CatanUniverse Simulators aren’t able to simulate all scenarios. They are feed by humans with what they think could go wrong. A simulation probability is probably around 80%-90%. So no way to test it all until you do it. That’s why ChaseBank, Kaiser and event Microsoft had server down-times.
@chrismadethat@ifeulner@CatanUniverse Haha 😂🤦🏻♂️ there is absolutely no AI on this platform and queries aren’t written to randomize doze results. You obviously have not much knowledge when it comes to tech dev. But I’m sure you’ll live without the game for a few days lol 😂
@ifeulner@CatanUniverse …it’s also just a game that down for a few days. I hope they figure out the issues of their API callings and user pool gathering for game setup. The map loading seems an issue too. While definitely not ideal planning, I know we all will live and play again soon 😉😂
@ifeulner@CatanUniverse This is not about a database move alone. It includes php versions on new server, server setup issues, database compression and unpacking, etc. I believe you know something about data but this isn’t just that. I agree with you that planning and execution seems not ideal, but…
@mariahfontana@CatanUniverse Mine doesn’t, but I know it will. A server migration is a complicated task as different hosts have different software, bits and pieces. We will all be okay soon, I’m sure 😉.
@el_lucho_iqq@CatanUniverse I disagree and know they will fix it. Moving a server isn’t a scam it happens sometimes. I know it frustrating when the game is down, crashing, failing… I’m waiting myself, but everything will be okay at the end. Just give them a little bit more time.
@ifeulner@CatanUniverse I know it can look like that to the regular or not industry involved person, but I have 4 tech companies and 18 developers full time and still things go wrong. The issue with moving to a new server is more complex than taking a car engine out of one car…
