Hey! I'm SB, a former consultant with 6+ years of experience advising PE firms in NYC. Recently, I decided to break free from the mundane ppt decks and bet on myself. Welcome to my diary, where I'll be sharing thoughts from the world of home services investing and building.🏠
What % of revenue are you spending on marketing for your residential cleaning company? Been growing top-line but have not scaled marketing spend with it.
@TheBizDad Impressive! How are you handling the equipment side? These jobs certainly required more expensive specialized equipment. Do you sub to smaller companies that are well equipped?
Our conversion rate plummeted it this month. We were growing 80-100% month-over-month since launching in August, but November revenue is expected to be down ~40-50% compared to October. Hmm.
@SMBAdwords 70-90 clicks/m. CTR is ~8%. Been most successful with our main page as landing page. Subpar results when we link to the booking form or services.
My first time marketing so I was wary of spending more until I felt more confident. Need to spend more. as November's been too slow.
Our marketing strategy's been cautiously paced. For months, we've spent ~$500/m on Google Ads and ~$500/m on a high-ranking 'top cleaning companies' article. Google LSA doesn't exist in Quebec.
November's been our slowest month so far. Feel like it's time to bump the budget.
@ken_cleans Literally been thinking all day about increasing our paid spend.
Facebook groups have been great for us. We win a good number of new customers every month for $0.
