Addison Hunsicker, the Philadelphia Union’s Senior Manager of Soccer Analytics, has made the move to Austin FC as their new Director of Soccer Analytics, per his LinkedIn.

Hunsicker joined Philadelphia in 2020 as an Assistant Data Analyst and climbed through the ranks.

Jim Curtin now has Dean Costalas and Hunsicker as part of his staff.

Phillies win. They’ve won 6 in a row, 15 of the last 17. They’ve jumped into to top Wild Card spot, they’re 3 back in the NL East.

The magic number to make the playoffs is 17.

@JDumasReports Knowing that there were 20,000 people at an Arizona Diamondbacks game last night thinking to themselves “would these jerks please just SHUT UP” makes me chuckle. It’s so out of context you have to laugh at it I think.

Generally speaking, I’m anti Eagles chants at CBP. Just so unoriginal and doesn’t fit.

However, hearing some guy give a hearty “EEEEEEE!!!!!” and hearing others join in at a ballpark 2,300 miles away from Philadelphia after midnight on the east coast will never not be funny.

Phillies won 21 games in the month of August, the most they’ve won in any month since September 2010. The bullpen turnaround is happening at the right time.

One month to go, the magic number to make the playoffs is 19.

Bowlan has worked back-to-back days, Duran took down 2 innings last night and the Phillies are playing against a bottom 5 offense in baseball.

Difficult to overstate how badly we need vintage Zack Wheeler to show up today.

Phillies win. Cristopher Sanchez shoved. The performance on the base paths was a disgrace to baseball. The Phillies were fortunate to be playing a team 31 games below .500.

We’ve all been on travel teams where everyone plays down to the level of a significantly worse opponent but still pulls out a win in the end. The coach still loses his mind as if you lost and rants you guys don’t take the little things seriously enough.

That’s what tonight is.

This team was never taught to run the bases in Little League.

There’s simply no other explanation.

Even if Sanchez went back out for the 8th, I would’ve wanted Bowlan in for the top of the order (and right on right) anyway.

Not a game I’ll blame the manager for. The Phillies offense has let the Angels off the hook all night.

I do think they got the Harper call correct.

I know the rule says inconclusive evidence to overturn something, but it does feel this year that “pretty sure we got it wrong” has often been good enough.
