Minnesota's Anthony Edwards is expected to play in Game 1 against the San Antonio Spurs, barring any setback pregame, per ESPN sources. Just 9 days removed from his left knee injury, and after the team had expected him to return midseries, Edwards has received medical clearance and will get final sign-off after his pregame routine.
Tremendous T-Wolves win. They really grabbed that game, right level of desperation. 2 concerns for Denver have to be: Gordon looks banged up already, and Joker’s 3s looked really bad. They’re gonna give him those if he keeps shooting like that.
@CoryProvus@glenperkins Could that Taylor Rogers play have been a live ball? Stepping off the rubber doesn’t make it a dead ball, I’m assuming it’s just a timing thing with the pitch clock?
NBA statement: "The NBA has completed an investigation of the Sacramento Kings and Head Coach Doug Christie's decision to foul intentionally late in the team's game against the Golden State Warriors on April 7. The league's investigation determined that Christie mistakenly believed that the Warriors were not in the penalty and therefore instructed his team to foul in an attempt to stop the clock and utilize one of the team's remaining timeouts. The investigation found that Christie made no intentional effort to give the Warriors a shooting foul, or to cause the Kings to lose the game."
The “oh my gosh” from @glenperkins is hilarious because this ball almost kills two people within seconds, one in the stands and one on the field! #MNTwins
Throwback to the time Luis Arráez, Byron Buxton, and Carlos Correa ambushed Yankees starter Gerrit Cole with three straight home runs to begin the bottom of the first.
Cole wound up surrendering seven runs in just 2 1/3 innings of work.
