This is one of the most photographed sites in the entire National Mall — over 25 million visitors a year — and it was literally covered in 10 truckloads of trash, filth, algae, sludge, and leaking infrastructure.

Wanting it restored isn’t political. It’s called basic stewardship of a national landmark.

If you’re angry that someone wanted the Reflecting Pool to look like something other than a swamp… that says more about you than it does about him.

Yes. A false accusation - of any kind, not just rape - can destroy someone’s life. There need to be consequences for that in the same manner as if they shot someone who then suffered life-long medical issues.

That said, any rape accusation that is not backed up by physical evidence, especially accusations coming years later, should be viewed with skepticism.

The Kavenaugh circus comes to mind.
