Prime Minister, Kassim Majaliwa, is set to present the country’s statement at the ongoing United Nations General Assembly (#UNGA) on September 27, 2024.

This event will be the second time a Tanzanian Prime Minister has addressed the Assembly, with the first being former Prime Minister Mizengo Pinda, who spoke during #UNGA65 on the same date in 2010.

The Premier who is representing President Samia Suluhu Hassan is participating in the 79th session of the General Assembly, alongside various Heads of State and other high-level government officials.

The session was officially opened by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and will run until September 30, 2024.
