@MiraiPandaYT I find it really weird how much I have seen people shit talk a French team while being a fan of a Korean team and being French themselves. Why don’t you support a French/EU team instead of larping as being Korean?
@MoiChavez2@rn_djz How the fuck would he have shown “killer mentality” here though? Were you expecting him to kill her or what??? Furthermore, what Korean player do you see showing “killer mentality” ? Most of them are just some anxious kids.
@hhwgwhjh8398620@Krzws1@Veigar_v2 Tbf he did well in lane, their whole team was getting gapped outside of laning phase as well, so it could just be coach gap at that point. A lot of the Korean players in this tournament have very good mechanics and just need to be coached better macro wise.
@Thorin Interesting how you include the Fergie one, although it’s obviously not cheating and not in the same category as the others and just some perceived favouritism that the opposing teams claimed, because they could never beat him… Interesting how you forgot your asthma squad though
@KrimoFN@CrazyGenshin@therepcakus@Sheep_Esports Sure, I agree with this, but I still couldn’t say that mechanics don’t matter when a single great mechanical play could win/lose your team the game. It’s just that as a whole the gap in mechanics is much lower than it used to be.
@Kyrararaa13@basedhutao Tbh the eu teams are quite strong. The 2 French teams won against multiple LEC teams a few months ago, and if it weren’t for franchising, these would be the teams that would fight for LEC qualification. They also have multiple ex LEC players on their rosters.
@KrimoFN@CrazyGenshin@therepcakus@Sheep_Esports Saying they don’t matter isn’t true though. They matter way less than they used to, but they obviously still matter a lot. Also a lot of the current meta champs don’t require that much mechanics tbh. It’s honestly just Akali and Qiyana in my opinion. Most players have mechanics
@juiced30@Sheep_Esports The orgs are French, yes, playing in the French leagues too. But in terms of players each of the teams have only 1 French player, while the Korean teams are full Korean. Actually there are as many Koreans in Galions and Solary as there are French players.
@Infeasable_@VeteranEMEA@Galions_ How do you decide what was a players fault, coaching fault or team environment fault though? For example if skewmond started his LEC career on Heretics instead of G2, he would probably be looked at quite differently.
@LoLRoundUp_ It’s both. People will prioritize their time for the things they think would be important. In this case those leagues are not important enough, so they don’t spend any of their time watching them. If people had more time, or if those leagues were better, they would watch them.
@LoLRoundUp_ The point for the minor region is pretty obvious. Everyone knows that there is 0% chance that a minor region team wins the tournament. They probably won’t even win a series, or even a game. That’s why in general people are not going to watch them if they are not from there.
@tak_01_@selasje I’ve always thought that data is incredibly interesting, but it couldn’t show you everything, that’s why the eye test is also really important if you know what you are looking for. I don’t doubt your data or expertise. I’ve followed you and will check your stuff with interest
@LoLRoundUp_ For example the ⚽️ World Cup was a few weeks ago and probably millions gave an opinion for the tournament before it happened. Do you also hold the same expectations from them, to have watched every game of every participating team? People tend to only watch the favourites.
@LoLRoundUp_ Unless you are paid to do so, it’s impossible to watch every game of every league and have the time to analyse all of it and contextualise what you saw from a league comparing it with other leagues. My point is that your expectations are basically impossible in general for LoL.
@tak_01_@selasje I’m not really familiar with the data you use, or data in league in general. I only know how data in traditional sports like ⚽️ works. What I know is that data can show you different things depending on how it’s used, so different analytics could show you a different result.
