@BearNotesApp i logged into bear for the first time in years to try and view some older notes. but it appears i have to be a pro subscriber to sync/download my old notes? is there a way to view previous notes without re-subscribing?

@richtabor I’ve been using WP for various sites since v1.2. However, 2023 is the first year I genuinely contemplated switching to something simpler. But for now I’m trying a season of using only the most critical plugins. The plugin architecture is nice but leads to site bloat in a hurry.

@CasJam @TylerMKing Find someone in your area that plays competitively (4.5+ level) and ask them to do mini-dink games with you from the “net” (kitchen/non-volley line). From there you can see how much strategy and precision it takes to not leave a ball attackable.

@CasJam @TylerMKing The game looks like checkers but plays more like chess. There are so many layers to the game. That’s what makes competing and playing so fun.

@CasJam @TylerMKing Coming from tennis and LOVING pickleball, I can see how the net-focused play seems less fun. However, I would say that is what makes pickleball such a different game than doubles tennis. And when you embrace it, it makes the game so much more nuanced and fun than meets the eye.
